BACOLOR, Pampanga – “I am now more determined to file perjury against Gov. Eddie Panlilio because he is open to seeking a national post.”

Thus said Businesswoman Lolita Hizon in a press briefing at his residence yesterday announcing that she filed the perjury case before the special prosecutor office here against Panlilio on May 28.

“It must come out that Panlilio is not telling the truth about his campaign contributions in 2007,” said Hizon. “He is not manifesting good governance as he had claimed.”

Hizon, in her complaint affidavit, said “the check contributions to Panlilio campaign funds, in the amount of P1 million was handed to Ms. Agnes Romero who in turn requested Ms. Lilian Limjoco to issue a receipt acknowledging the contribution.” She added that the said contribution was accepted with “gratefulness” by Panlilio.

But Hizon said Panlilio had failed to declare her campaign contributions to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Panlilio failed to return calls as of press time.

Hizon said other campaign contributors of Panlilio like Willie Villarama also expressed disappointment over the failure of the governor to manifest in her statement of election contributions.
