CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – The Department of Health, Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital, the Provincial Government of Pampanga, and the Municipality of Sta. Ana officially broke ground on Dec. 23 for the JASMC–BUCAS facility in the town’s Barangay San Bartolome.

JASMC–BUCAS stands for JBLMGH Ambulatory Surgical and Multispecialty Center- Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service, a program of the DOH aimed to provide fast, accessible, and affordable immediate outpatient medical care to residents, especially the poor, serving as an intermediate step between primary health clinics and large hospitals
Representing the Capitol, chief of staff of the Office of the Vice Governor Angelina Blanco expressed the gratitude of Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda to the DOH and JBLMGH “sa kanilang patuloy na suporta sa lalawigan, lalo na sa adbokasiya ng pamahalaang panlalawigan na mailapit at maipagkaloob ang dekalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan sa mga Kapampangan.”
Blanco also noted the ₱15-million financial assistance of the provincial government for the development of the 1.2-hectare site for the facility donated by the family of Sta. Ana Mayor Ferdinand P. Labung.

The DOH has allotted a total of P34,999,998.71 for the construction of the facility.

The Sta. Ana BUCAS facility is the second to be established in Pampanga. In March 2024, the first-ever in the whole Philippines was inaugurated in Sto. Tomas town.
