Based on the official Comelec documents, Mayor Marino “Boking” Morales of Aksyon Demokratiko party has once again emerged winner trumping his opponents by a wide margin garnering 40,147 votes as against his closest rival Cris Garbo of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) who only managed 17,710 votes followed by independent candidate Noel Castro who got 10,788 votes and the last is another independent candidate Pyra Lucas who got 5,807 votes.
Vice Mayor Christian Halili of the NPC was unopposed but still managed 52,186 votes.
As of 1 am on Tuesday, Morales, Halili and the winning Sangguniang Panlungsod members composed of Geld Aquino, Rox Peña, Dwight Morales, Eddie Sotto, Amauri “Bok”Tiglao, Jeng Yumul, Carlo Niño Rivera, Jerry Basilio, and Dan Bayani all of Kambilan and NPC’s Win-Win Garbo were already officially proclaimed by the Comelec.
“Tapos na po ang halalan. Nagpasya na ang ating mga kasiyudad. Maraming salamat po sa tiwala at suporta. Tuloy po ang serbisyo (The election is over. The people have made their choices. Thank you very much for the trust and the support. Our service to the people will now continue),” Morales said after his proclamation.
Lacson-Lacson
In Magalang, Malu Lacson of NPC garnered 18,187 votes edging incumbent Mayor Romy Pecson of Kambilan who got 17,720 votes while Norman Lacson of NPC got 17,880 votes for the vice mayoral win over Lyndon Cunanan of Kambilan who got 14,765 votes.
In the municipal council, the winners are Koko Gonzales, Joel Cruz, June Tanglao and Popoy Miranda all of Kambilan, Dolfo Gonzales(NPC), Larry Aquino, of Kambilan and Arvy Dela Cruz and Carding David of NPC.
Tumang back
In Mexico, Teddy Tumang (LP) got 31,541 votes over incumbent Mayor Roy Manalastas of Kambilan who got 28,879 votes while Doc Pangan of Kambilan got 37,893 votes to win the vice mayoral race over Terence Napao of LP who got 19,129 votes.
Bon re-elected
In Arayat, incumbent Mayor Emmanuel “Bon” Alejandrino of LP got 28,770 votes over Luis Espino of NPC who got 15,828 votes while for vice mayor Ramon Changcoco of LP got 18,074 over Che Lumbang of NPC who got 13,691 votes.
Stalemate
In Bacolor, incumbent Mayor Jomar Hizon of LP got 17,306 votes while Buddy Dungca of Kambilan got 17,169 votes as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday while Eduardo Datu of Kambilan got 17,022 votes over Willy Balingit of LP who got 15,762 votes for the vice mayoral post. A stalemate though rising from allegedly still-uncounted ballots in Barangay Calibutbut has yet to be resolved as of presstime.
CD team
In Porac, incumbent Mayor Carling Dela Cruz got 26,348 votes over Mike Tapang of NPC who got 20,797 votes while Vice Mayor Dexter David got 24,606 votes over Rogelio Santos of NPC who got 21,120 votes.
Guerreros lose
In Floridablanca, comebacking Darwin Manalansan of Lakas got 13,688 votes over Dr. Leck Guerrero of Kambilan who got 12,262 votes followed by Tito Mendiola of PDP-Laban who got 11,887 votes while Michael Galang of Lakas got 20,955 votes winning the vice mayoral post over incumbent Mayor Eddie Guerrero of Kambilan who got 15,167 votes.
Gov. Lilia “Nanay Baby” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis Pineda were unopposed.
Board members
The provincial board members for Pampanga’s 1st District are Cherry Manalo of Kambilan and independent candidate Benny Jocson; 2nd District are Art Salalila Salvador Dimson and Ton-ton Torres of Kambilan; 3rd Dstrict are Dinan Labung, Rosve Henson and Jun Canlas of Kambilan; and 4th District Nelson Calara of UNA, Pol Balingit of the Nacionalista Party.
