LUBAO, Pampanga — Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. on Tuesday, Feb. 3 joined Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, and Mayor Esmeralda Pineda on an inspection of the Pampanga Food Complex in Barangay Sta. Catalina here.

A joint undertaking between the national and local governments, the facility was allotted P270 million by the Capitol for site development, road concreting, and construction of the complex; and P50 million from the Department of Agriculture for the machinery and equipment. The Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization provided the complex with two rice mills and five circulating dryers, aside from six tractors, four harvesters, and four precision seeders to help farmers increase their production.
