TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – A palay-buying agent was gunned down by riding-in-tandem suspects in front of his house in Barangay Maestrang Kikay here at about 6:50 a.m. Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Ryan Lee Galang, 40, resident of the said village.
Investigation showed the victim was about to leave his residence when the back rider on a motorcycle shot him successively with a still unknown caliber of firearm.
Hit in different parts of his body, Galang was brought to Talavera General Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival by an attending physician, police said.
Investigator PSSgt. Ranie Santos said probers were gathering CCTV footages in the area as a hot pursuit operation is being conducted against the perpetrators.
The motive of the shooting is yet to be established.
