SAMAL, Bataan
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. on Thursday conducted groundbreaking ceremonies for multi-millionpeso projects in two towns in this province.

Gov. Albert Garcia thanked PAGCor chair and CEO Andrea Domingo for choosing Samal and Orani towns as sites of the multi-purpose evacuation centers that were funded for P50 million each.

In Orani, the infrastructure will rise in Barangay Mulawin while in Samal, it will be in Barangay Gugo.

Attending the groundbreaking rites from the PAGCor side were vice president for corporate social responsibility James Patrick Bondoc and community relations and services assistant vice president Ramon Villaflor.

Coming from Bataan were 1st District Rep. Geraldine Roman, Governor Garcia, Orani Mayor Efren Pascual, Jr. and Samal Mayor Aida Macalinao.

Macalinao said the evacuation center is part of their desire to protect and take care of the people of Samal especially during calamities and tragedies.
