CLARK FREEPORT – An aircraft of the Philippine Air Force crashed at about 11 a.m. yesterday in Sitio Ligaya in Barangay Santiago, Concepcion, Tarlac, but its pilots were able to eject themselves to safety.
Central Luzon police director Chief Supt. Arturo Cacdac said in a text message to Punto central Luzon that the aircraft was an S-11 that had body No. 09005.
“Pilots Maj. Wilfred Donato and Lt. Jose Wilbert were able to eject before the crash,” he said, stressing “no casualty” during the incident.
Cacdac said air force personnel from the 600th air base wing based here “immediately responded” to the accident.
He said that the cause of the crash still had to be determined.
Concepcion is the hometown of Pres. Aquino.
