The teachers belong to the teaching staff of Tomas Pinpin Memorial Elementary School (TPMES) which has a stage decorated with beautiful flowers.
On the stage was a big streamer saying “Saludo kami sa Lahat ng Dakilang Guro ng ating Paaralan. Salamat sa inyong Sakripisyo at Pagmamahal sa mga Mag-aaral.”
“Teachers are tired and full of sacrifices in attending to the children and we are dedicating this day for them to enjoy and be happy,” said TPMES Principal Elvira Mina.
The teachers showed their “pabebe” wave made famous by the world-watched Kalye Serye of GMA noontime show Eat Bulaga. Some teachers displayed their singing and dancing skills as others enjoyed their self-served snacks.
An impromptu short beauty pageant was held where some teachers acted as if vying for “Mrs. TPMES 2015” to the cheering of co-teachers.
The appointed participants showed they could walk like beauty contestants on the concrete floor of the covered court that served as a romp.
They introduced themselves followed by kawikaan they invented about teaching.
They gamely answered all sort of silly questions thrown by the emcee. It was a day of merry-making and eating for the school mentors.
