ANGELES CITY – Police operatives seized a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lourdes Northwest here on Monday.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon, city police director Col. Rommel Batangan said joint operatives of Police Station 2, the city police intelligence unit, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Angeles City field unit conducted the buy-bust along Henson St. in front of a bus station resulting to the arrest of one Jerome Aguilar y Mejia, 30, of Barangay Tagumpay, Quezon City whose name appears in the police drug watchlist.
Seized from the suspect were “10 knot-tied plastic ice packs containing suspected shabu with total estimated weight of one kilogram with DDB (Dangerous Drugs Board) value of P6,800,000; the P1,000 bill marked money, and one bundle of P1,000 boodle money.”
“Your police here in Central Luzon will have no let-up in our crackdown on all forms of lawlessness especially illegal drugs amidst this pandemic as we continue to deliver excellent police services to the communities of Region III,” De Leon assured the public even as he commented his men for their accomplishment.
