BALANGA CITY — The provincial government of Bataan joins the Department of
Health in the launching nationwide Monday of massive vaccination against the
coronavirus disease.
Gov. Jose Enrique Garcia III said the “PinasLakas ang Boosted na Bataeno:
Bakunahan Bayanihan sa Barangay” will run from Aug. 15 to Oct. 28 and offers
raffle prizes amounting to P6.7 million.
The prizes will be available to those who will undergo vaccination for the first and
second doses and first and second booster shots in any inoculation sites in the
province.
Prizes at stake weekly are a cellphone for one winner, P10,000 each to two
winners, and P5,000 each to three winners. On Oct. 31, a grand raffle will be
drawn with P100,000 for one winner, P50,000 each for two winners, and P25,000
each for three winners.
The governor said the project aims to complete the booster doses for the
remaining target population in the province, strengthen the immunity of every
one and prevent severe symptoms of Covid–19 that sometimes resulted to death.
“Ito rin ay nagsisilbing karagdagang proteksyon para sa mga indibidwal na
pumapasok sa kanilang mga opisina, mga mag-aaral at guro na malapit nang
bumalik sa full face-to-face classes,” Garcia said.
He said that with the program, he is hopeful that the percentage of boosted
individuals in Bataan will greatly increase.
“Katulad nang malimit sabihin ng mga eksperto, kailangan nating matutunang
mamuhay sa gitna ng banta ng Covid-19 kung kaya't ang pagpapabakuna ay
responsibilidad ng bawat isa hindi lamang para sa sarili kung hindi para rin sa
ating kapwa,” the governor said.
