ORANI, Bataan — Police announced Tuesday that two were arrested and shabu worth some P500,000 was confiscated in a buy-bust operation in a barangay here at dawn of Sunday.
Major Dennis Ian Revilas, Orani police chief, identified those arrested as Nash Amerol, 27, aka Sadam, and his girlfriend Regiena Bautista, 38, who is in online financing, both of BarangayTugatog, Orani.
The two, the police chief said, were nabbed after selling to a police poseur-buyer a piece of medium size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of shabu in exchange for P1,000 in marked money.
In the follow-up search, Revilas said, operatives found in the possession of Amerol a knot-tied transparent plastic containing shabu with estimated weight of 100 grams amounting to more or less P500,000.
Further recovered from Bautista was a piece of medium size heat-sealed plastic sachet of shabu, the police chief said.
The successful operation in Barangay Tugatog was conducted at 12:48 a.m. by elements of the Orani police, the Bataan police intelligence unit and the Bataan police provincial drug enforcement unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
The suspects face charges for violation of Sections 5 & 11 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, Revilas said.
