PALAYAN CITY – Local officials led by Mayor Adrianne Mae Cuevas are going house to house to distribute P3,000 cash assistance to each of over 12,000 families even as this city remains free from the coronavirus disease.
The cash assistance being extended by the local inter-agency task force is on top of food packs, chicken, vegetables and milk that the city earlier distributed to all families to cushion effect of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
Cuevas said they know that their residents will need more after the food support thus they worked for the provision of cash assistance.
The distribution started on April 8 and is ongoing as of press time.
Maria, noting that Cuevas has shelled out P1million from her own pocket for the city’s 19 villages and Bureau of Fire Protection and P50,000 for frontliners.
