OLONGAPO CITY — Operatives of Police Station 5 (PS5) arrested a suspected drug peddler included in the city drug watchlist in Barangay Sta Rita here.
In his report to city police director Col. BenjaminSembrano, Jr., PS5 commander Capt. Joseph Albert G. Seño identified the suspect as Enrico Turqueza y Varga, 49, of No. 844 Sampaguita Street, Barangay Sta Rita.
Turqueza was nabbed in the act of selling a sachet of shabu worth P500 to a police undercover agent.
Recovered from the suspect were 12 transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50.44 grams with an estimated street value of P250,000, and the P500-bill marked money.
The suspect is now detained at PS5 detention cell facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article ll of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002).
Seño said the city police will continue to target drug peddlers in the community even amid the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
