BALANGA CITY — Police reported Tuesday that three suspected drug peddlers were apprehended and shabu worth P200,000 confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Orani, Bataan Monday.
Bataan police director Col. Romell A. Velasco identified the suspects as John Alipio, 51, native of Pampanga residing in Barangay Pantalan Luma, Orani; Ervin Infante, 43, and Vhergil Infante, 23, both residents of Barangay Wawa, Pilar, Bataan.
Confiscated from the suspects were 17 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and one P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, the police director said.
The seized shabu weighed 61.7064 grams with estimated value of P200,000.
Velasco said the buy-bust operation in Barangay Pantalan Luma was conducted by combined elements of the provincial police drugs enforcement and investigation units and the drugs enforcement unit of Orani police station.
The arrested suspects were detained at Orani MPS and charges of violation of Secs. 5 and 11, Art. II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are to be filed against them while evidences recovered were brought to the Bataan Provincial Forensic Unit in Balanga City for laboratory examination, the provincial police director said.
“Sa tulong ng mga mamamayan at lokal na pamahalaan , sinisikap ng Bataan PNP na manatiling drug-cleared ang lalawigan. Kaya ang taong bayan ay hinihikayat natin na maging alisto at makipag-ugnayan sa ating mga law enforcers lalo na sa mga impormasyon na makakatulong sa pagsugpo ng krimen at pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan sa ating probinsya,” Velasco said.
