CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Just the second day of 2022 and the police scored big in two separate buy busts arresting five drug suspects and seizing over P116-million worth of shabu.
Police Regional Office-3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said a buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay Lagundi, Mexico on Sunday by the Pampanga police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency resulted to the arrest of one Muslimin Mohamad Salim, 29, of Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.
Confiscated from Salim were 50 packs containing shabu weighing some 17 kilos worth P115.6 million, two P1,000 bill marked money and a Nissan sedan with plate number NGQ 939.
In Angeles City, four drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust by the city police in Lourdes Drive, Barangay Balibago also on Sunday.
Angeles City police chief Col. Rommel Batangan reported that members of the city’s Police Station 4 led by Lt. Jennies Capili conducted the entrapment that led to the arrest of “high value targets” alias Channy, 31, and alias Harry, 42, both from Balibago; alias Eliza, 23, of Pulung Maragul also in Angeles City; and alias Rose, 30, of Dau, Mabalacat City.
Seized from the suspects were five plastic sachets containing shabu valued at P374,000, the sting money and two motorcycles.
In a statement commending the accomplishment of his men, Baccay said the Central Luzon police will continue in its efforts “to eradicate all forms of illegal drugs and crimes for a peaceful and safe region.” With media reports
