ORION, Bataan- The municipal government here on Tuesday announced the offer of P100,000 as reward money for anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest of two motorcycle-riding men who shot and killed the lady manager of the local water district.

Mayor Antonio Raymundo said he would also ask Gov. Albert Garcia to increase the reward money to speed-up the apprehension of the killers of Cecilia Tuazon, 58, general manager of the Orion Water District (Oriwad).

“Hustisya para kay Ate Cely at P100,000 pabuya sa sinumang makapagbibigay ng impormasyon” were seen in tarpaulins posted in some areas in Orion.

Tuazon popularly known as Ate Cely was a former employee of the Philippine National Bank and manager of another bank in Balanga City before she was named director and later general manager of Oriwad.

She died while her husband was critically wounded when they were fired upon by two unidentified men while about to disembark from their vehicle near the main gate of their residence here at about 8 p.m. July 28 after attending Sunday  Mass.

PO3 Fremelson Pinmiliw, Orion police investigator, said the couple was rushed to the Orion St. Michael Hospital but an attending doctor declared the general manager dead on arrival.

Her husband Emmanuel Tuazon sustained gunshot wounds in both arms and upper left chest. From the St. Michael Hospital, he was transferred to the Isaac & Catalina Medical Center (ICMC) in Balanga City where he was recuperating.

Pinmiliw said Scene of the Crime Operatives recovered from the crime scene five empty cartridges and three fired bullets from caliber .40.

Senior Insp. Ronnie Fabia, Orion police chief, said they were still in the process of investigation as to the motive of the killing and the identity of the suspects.

Police said men in crash helmets and raincoats shot at the woman who was about to alight from their van and then at husband who was on the driver’s seat. Neighbors who refused to be identified said they heard six gunshots.

The suspects sped away on board a motorcycle.
