CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Nueva Ecija provincial government has offered a reward of P1 million to anyone who could identify the killer of Gen. Tinio town Mayor Ferdinand Bote who was shot dead along the Maharlika Highway in Cabanatuan City last Tuesday.
Nueva Ecija Gov. Czarina Umali announced this the other day, as she also issued a statement condemning the killing of Bote.
Umali extended her sympathies to the mayor’s family, as she said that the slain mayor would continue to inspire for his efforts to improve the plight of his bereaved constituents.
She also vowed the support of the provincial government in efforts to solve the killing of Bote.
Philippine flags flew at half-mast throughout Gen. Tinio. The remains of the mayor lie at the Papaya Sports Center of Gen. Tinio to accommodate public viewing.
