PORT OF CLARK —-The Bureau of Customs has seized P1.890 million worth of high-grade marijuana declared as print toner during a joint inspection by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the Port of Clark.

Authorities intercepted 2.09 kilograms of high-grade marijuana with an estimated street value of P1,890,000.00. The parcel arrived from Sacramento, USA, and was headed to Surigao del Norte.

Through X-ray scanning by the BOC’s X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), the shipment was found to be a box labeled “Ink Toners.” Inside the box was a black PVC cylinder, where 12 plastic sachets containing a green, solid substance were found hidden using adhesive spray foam.

Samples were taken and brought to PDEA for chemical analysis, and the analysis revealed that it was an illegal drug.

The said parcel has been placed under a Warrant of Seizure and Detention for violation of Republic Act 10863, also known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. Photos BoC Port of Clark
