P1.5-M shabu seized, couple arrested

SUBIC, Zambales – Police arrested a couple selling drugs and recovered from their possession shabu worth P1.5 million during a buy-bust operation at dawn of Jan. 7 in Barangay Calapacuan here.

A report to Zambales police director Col. Fitz A. Macariola said operatives led  by Subic police chief Mark Louie M. Sigua with the provincial drug enforcement and intelligence units and the 1st and 2nd provincial mobile force companies arrested couple Joemmier John Pasa Leapart alias Jun Marzan, 35, and Angelica Ocampo Leapart, 34, both residents of Sitio Bukid, Barangay Calapacuan.

Recovered from them were 14 transparent plastic sachets of shabu weighing 227.2 grams with estimated value of P1,544,960.
The couple are now locked up at the Subic Police detention cell facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“Ang inyong kapulisan ay patuloy ang pagtugis sa mga taong lumalabag sa batas at sa mga nagpapakalat ng illegal na droga na siyang nakakasira sa magandang kinabukasan higit ng mga kabataan. Life is beautiful, ating ipagpapatuloy ang pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at paiiralin ang batas upang makamit ang maayos at payapang pamayanan,” said Macariola.
