BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a farm-to-market road in Orion, Bataan.
The newly constructed road in Sitio Bangad, Barangay Sto. Domingo now provides local residents and farmers with more efficient transportation.
DPWH Bataan 2nd District OIC-Assistant Engineer Lorenzo Pagtalunan emphasized that the 1,122.6-linear meter concreted road resolves the community’s long-standing issue with its previously unpaved condition.

“During the rainy season, the road becomes muddy and impassable, making it difficult for residents to access important services, including students getting to school. Additionally, local farmers struggled to transport their products to market,” he added.
Pagtalunan also noted that the infrastructure will help reduce travel costs for farmers, improving their access to markets and services.
The DPWH implemented the P14.47-million project in convergence with the Department of Agriculture to develop sustainable infrastructure that supports the agricultural sector in delivering products to market. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bataan)
