CABANATUAN CITY – A
estampita of the Divine Mercy printed with Oratio Imperata (Prayer for the Protection from coronavirus) comes with food packs the second round of relief assistance from the family of Nueva Ecija 3rd District Rep. Rosanna Vergara.

Also in the each food pack currently being distributed here city under the family-funded Kalinga Para sa Distrito are a large squash, upo, two kilos of dressed chicken, a bar of laundry soap, face mask, a calendar, a pail, and 10 kilos of rice.

The squash came from farmers from the municipalities of Aliaga and Zaragoza who sought the help of Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara to market their produce, according to the city information and tourism office(CITO).

The local chief executive visited the farms and decided to have the vegetables added to their Kalinga food packs.

In her message, Vergara shared the Latin “non multa sed multum” (not many but much) which she said was the first word she learned from college.

More than the contents, Vergara said, she expects the pack to be a symbol of her continued service.

The congresswoman and her husband Vice Mayor Julius Cesar Vergara have been extending “Kalinga” within the legislative district that includes the municipalities of Gabaldon, Laur, Bongabon, Gen. Mamerto Natividad, and Santa Rosa, Palayan City and this city.

Rose Ambrocio, a resident of this city, expressed gratitude via her social media post: “Big thank you congresswoman maam Ria ansir PO (presiding officer) Jay Vergara sa umuulan na biyaya. God bless sa pamilya Vergara, she posted.
