CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Office of the Ombudsman has filed nine counts of graft before the Sandiganbayan against Tarlac 3rd District Rep. Noel Rivera over alleged conflict of interest in infrastructure projects.
“Yes, we filed. Conflict of interest and flood control,” Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla said in a press conference on Aug. 7.
The cases have been raffled off to six anti-graft court divisions: one count each to the First, Second, and Fourth divisions of the anti-graft court, and two cases each to the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh divisions.
Rivera reportedly owns Tarlac 3-G Construction and Development Corp. with his wife, Concepcion, Tarlac Vice Mayor Evelyn Rivera.
Rivera had previously denied any involvement in corruption, and said he is ready to face the allegations against him. “Mariin ko pong itinatanggi na ako po ay nasangkot sa anumang uri ng korapsyon. Malinis po ang aking konsensya.” Punto News Team with media reports
