DINALUPIHAN, Bataan — Still unidentified men riding a motorcycle shot and killed an 80-year–old businessman at the main door of his residence in Barangay Sto. Nino here Wednesday.
Lt. Col. Jim Tayag, Dinalupihan police chief, said Loreano Romero died on the spot from a bullet wound on his forehead.
The police chief said witnesses saw two men riding a motorcycle without plate number who stopped in front of the victim’s house and fired two gunshots. The suspects, he said, then hurriedly took the motorcycle and sped towards the direction of Floridablanca town in Pampanga.
Tayag said they immediately conducted checkpoints in all exit points.
Antonio Romero said they were puzzled on the killing of his brother. He said he does not know of any enemy of the victim and his brother had not told him of any threat against him.
“Matapos agad sana kaso,” Romero said.
Police said they are conducting follow–up investigation.
