“Innovation is no longer about technological advancement, but about how we respond to global challenges through sustainability, responsible stewardship, and partnerships that benefit society, the nation, and future generations,” Jugo said.

Meanwhile, Everything Green Founder Camille Albarracin shared that the partnership stemmed from shared values and earlier engagements during technology business incubation trainings, which paved the way for deeper collaboration between the academe and industry.

She noted that the collaboration would strengthen efforts to develop sustainable and locally grounded solutions by integrating academic research, applied technology, and community-based social enterprises.

“This collaboration will strengthen our efforts to develop sustainable, locally grounded solutions by bringing together academic research, applied technology, and community-based social enterprise,” Albarracin said.

Jugo also expressed the university’s full institutional support for the project, emphasizing a unified vision to transform agricultural waste into innovative materials while promoting environmental responsibility and inclusive growth.

The event was witnessed by NEUST officials, including Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Jean Guillasper; Planning and Development Office Director Keneth Armas; Extension Services Department Director Marivic Villegas; Innovation Management Office Head Edgelly Vitug; and Innovation and Technology Support Office Manager Emmanuel Borre.
