Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija — The Central Luzon State University Junior Marketing Association (CLSU JMA), in collaboration with the CLSU College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), University Extension Program Office (UEPO), and the Department of Trade and Industry – Nueva Ecija Provincial Office (DTI-NEPO), successfully launched the third edition of the “Partnership for the Goals, Partnership for Sustainable Development: Business Masterclass and Trade Show” on August 19–20, 2025, at the FPJ Development Communication Hall in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

This year’s event brought together 32 local MSMEs from across Nueva Ecija, showcasing a diverse array of products, including food items, agricultural goods, and handicrafts.

The trade show served as a platform for MSMEs to increase their market exposure, while providing CLSU marketing students with a valuable opportunity to collaborate with local entrepreneurs.

Students selected MSMEs to partner with, allowing them to apply their classroom knowledge in retailing management and distribution management through hands-on marketing activities.

Official Opening of the Trade Show The trade show was officially opened on the first day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Dr. Rocelyn M. Barroga, Dean of the College of Business and Accountancy, Mr. Warren Patrick T. Serrano, Acting Provincial Director of DTI-NEPO, and a representative of Dr. Aldrin E. Badua, Director of CLSU-UEPO. In her opening remarks, Dr. Barroga highlighted the significance of partnerships in creating sustainable growth: “Your success is also our nation’s success.”

This event marked the official start of the trade show, where MSMEs exhibited their products and began forging relationships with students, setting the stage for long-term collaborations.

Business Masterclass and Trade Show Highlights The second day of the event featured a Business Masterclass held at CLSU’s College of Business and Accountancy.

CBA Faculty led insightful sessions on Smart Operations for Microenterprise Success and Practical Human Resource Strategies for MSMEs.

These discussions helped equip MSMEs with practical tools to enhance their operations and improve their overall business practices. At the same time, the trade show continued at the FPJ Hall, with students and MSMEs actively engaging in networking to select business partners.

Marketing students will assist their chosen MSMEs throughout the semester by applying marketing techniques and strategies learned in class to help promote and sell products.

Recognition and Future Collaboration The event concluded with the awarding of certificates to all participating MSMEs in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the event’s success.

Afterward, the selected MSMEs were announced, marking the start of a semester-long partnership between CLSU students and local businesses, which will focus on promoting products and strengthening business operations. List of Participating MSMEs:

This partnership between CLSU and local MSMEs helps develop inclusive entrepreneurship, creating more opportunities for local businesses while also providing CLSU students with hands-on learning experiences in the field of marketing and business management.

The collaboration between CLSU’s marketing students and Nueva Ecija’s MSMEs will continue throughout the semester, and it underscores the importance of academic-industry-government partnerships in promoting sustainable development. For more updates, follow the CLSU JMA Facebook page.
