Some say so. First, Nostradamus.
He referred to the Philippines thus: “The peace and justice and the blood of love from the blessed land of promise of the Southeastern…”
This was seemingly a reference to the Philippine flag with its white, blue and red colors. More references to the Philippine flag were made before some references to Duterte himself.
“The sun of divinity holding the 8th fire will burn all nations having the power of the 3 stars (Philippine fl ag stars); “Blessed are you Land of Promise, the golden 8 sunbeams shine (Philippine fl ag’s eight sun rays) as noon day will shine from you”
And now references to Duterte.
“At the Southern area He (Duterte) will be born in the Year of the Serpent” (which in the Chinese calendar covered 1989 when Duterte became Davao mayor); “and will start his work at the year of the Tiger (2010 was year of the Tiger when Duterte became nationally known and eyed as being presidentiable).
“Land of Promise! (Mindanao) the place where the Greatest Lover will arise,” Nostradamus said.
“Glory to the Moon who became Sun.” This allegedly referred to the transformation of Davao City from being a being one of the most peaceful in the world.
“This is the Glory of all Glory, the Hope of all Ages is born at the City of Eagle (Davao)…and will end his fi nal mission at the Largest City.” Does this need explanation?
Two years ago, well known modern prophet Dr. Cindy Jacobs apparently also referred to the rise of Duterte. Evangelizing, Jacobs urged Filipinos to pray so that God would “pull down the spirit of corruption” and “pour the Spirit” on the Philippines through elections of its leaders (last May elections).
“The lord will help them (Filipinos) in choosing the next leader. The time for this country to rise up has fi nally come and all we have to do is to pick the right leader,” she said.
She foretold: “God will move in a massive way, so that the spirit of corruption will be broken…darkness will be dispelled.”
One could link these prophecies to the message of the Blessed Mother during her apparitions in Lipa, Batangas in 1947. My uncle, Lipa Archbishop Arguelles, deeply believes in the authenticity of the Lipa apparitions, and so do I.
There, the Blessed Mother said: “This country (Philippines) was created by God for something great.”
