CAMP AQUINO, Tarlac — The much-needed logistical support in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic is now being provided by the Air Force, Army, and Naval units under the Northern Luzon Command in Regions 1, 2, 3, and the Cordillera Autonomous Region.
Nolcom commander Lt. Gen. Ramiro Manuel Rey said: “We are working together with local government units and members of the Inter-Agency Task Force including Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, and the Bureau of Fire Protection in implementing the enhanced community quarantine.”
Soldiers provide support to the PNP in manning checkpoints to ensure the orderliness in the communities and safety of residents within their area of responsibilities.
“Nolcom is open for anyone who needs help amidst Covid-19 outbreak, we are doing our best to ensure that safety and wellbeing of the people are taken care of. The Filipinos are our top priority but we cannot end this fight alone, we are asking for your cooperation and obedience so that we could wipe off Covid-19 in our country as soon as possible,” Rey said.
