CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company has reported that there were no power interruptions during Monday’s mid-term elections in this city and the town of Floridablanca, Pampanga.
SFELAPCO spokesperson Atty. Cathy Diaz said the company stayed true to its promise to keep power stable in its franchise areas on election day.
“We closely monitored our system and postponed all maintenance work to ensure a smooth and reliable power supply,” Diaz said.
She added that SFELAPCO understands how important electricity is for a peaceful and orderly election. A steady power supply helps make sure that the voting process is safe, fast, and fair.
More than 200,000 registered voters in the city and close to 100,000 others in Floridablanca cast their votes in yesterday’s political exercise. With no power issues reported, the elections went ahead without delay caused by electricity problems.
SFELAPCO worked closely with election officials and other agencies to make sure there were no disruptions. The company also prepared emergency crews to respond quickly if needed.
SFELAPCO thanks the public for their cooperation and remains committed to providing safe and reliable electricity to the people of San Fernando, especially during important events like elections. Press release
