CLARK FREEPORT – A hoax, if not a scam.
That is the announcement on social media of the holding of the “Clark Hot Air Balloon: Music, Art and Food Festival” purportedly scheduled this coming Feb. 14-16.
The Clark Development Corp. (CDC on Monday issued a statement that it had “not approved the conduct of any hot air balloon event inside Clark for the year 2020.”
The CDC said it made the clarification in view of a social media post titled: “Clark Hot Air Balloon: Music, Art and Food Festival” said to be scheduled on February 14, 15, and 16, 2020.”
The purported event also announced the participation of several notable and popular music artists, groups and disc jockeys.
The misleading post immediately went viral due to the participation of the notable and popular artists but netizens were confused as to where it will be particularly held in this freeport as the venue was not mentioned.
The CDC disclaimer also cautioned the public against any representation that solicits support for business and other purposes.
