CITY OF SAN FERNANDO
The Friday the 13th jinx just got busted here as this city recorded Nov.13 the highest number of recoveries from the coronavirus disease since March.

The city government gave a warm send-off to 75 Fernandinos who recovered from the disease at the Covid-19 Kalingang Fernandino isolation facility at the city civic center in Barangay San Isidro.

Hailing Covid-19 survivors

The city health office said a total of 1,312 individuals with confirmed, active, suspected, and probable cases of Covid-19 have been admitted at the Kalingan Fernandino isolation facility since it opened last April.

As of Nov. 13, 146 individuals remained confined in the six buildings of the isolation facility, the CHO added.

CHO officer-in-charge and incident commander Dr. Renely P. Tungol said the majority of those who recovered were from families who got infected from attending mass gatherings.

“Most of them ay magpapa-pamilya na close contacts ng mga confirmed cases sa kanilang bahay and mass gathering pa din ang kadalasang dahilan. Mayroon ding mga iilang empleyado,” Tungol said.
Tungol reminded the public of the persistent need to practice basic health protocols to combat the spread of Covid-19.

It should be consistently practiced,” she said. — with CSFP-CIO
