CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The NLEx Corp. was recently re-certified for its three globally recognized management system standards in quality, environment, and occupational health and safety, reflecting the organization’s long-standing commitment to provide the highest value to its customers, partners, and employees.
The tollway company received the latest version of certifications ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001: 2018 conferred by DQS Holdings GmbH for the effective implementation of its integrated management systems (IMS).
“We are delighted that our efforts to improve the company’s processes, preserve and sustain the environment, and care for the well-being of our workforce and other stakeholders have again been recognized and benchmarked against international standards,” said NLEx Corp. president and general manager Luigi Bautista.
NLEx secured its first ISO certifications in 2008 and were renewed in 2011 and 2014 after it had successfully passed surveillance audits.
The Integrated Management System (IMS) collates the NLEx Corp.’s systems and processes into one framework, enabling the organization to work and implement the different processes with streamlined objectives.
“Getting the ISO 9001:2015 assures our customers of our commitment to continually adhere to the highest standards in our operations, the ISO 14001:2015 confirms our compliance to environmental responsibilities, and the ISO 45001: 2018 validates our efforts in creating a safe working environment,” said NLEx Corp. chief operating officer Raul Ignacio.
The current certificates, which are valid until November 2021, cover the design, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of toll roads.
“These certificates are testaments to the organization’s collective efficacy as well as signify our pursuit to enhance customer satisfaction and deliver the services our motorists truly deserve,” Ignacio added.
Apart from the DQS certificates, the NLEx Corp. was also awarded with IQNet certificates of the three standards. DQS is one of the leading certification bodies for management systems worldwide with over 30 years of experience in management system assessments, while IQNet is an international network of partner certification bodies with numerous global partners.
