TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija — An irrigation division based in this municipality has pledged continuous support to initiatives uplifting learning conditions at a public school in an adjacent village in Cabanatuan City.
Engr. Alvin Manuel, Sr., manager of Division II of National Irrigation Administration-Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation System (NIA-UPRIIS), led other agency officials in the recent signing of a memorandum of agreement with heads of Pula Elementary School in Cabanatuan City.
The activity was part of the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela that aimed to prepare the school for the opening of classes on Aug. 29.
The Division II donated cleaning tools, PVC pipes and paint materials to the said school in support to Brigada Eskwela with the theme, “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan.”
Manuel said NIA-UPRIIS Division II will continue to support the education sector in providing students a clean and conducive classroom in time for their first day of classes.
