SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — Visitors to this premier tourism destination will have another grand time this summer with the opening recently of the Adventure Beach Water Park, a sister facility of the ever-popular Ocean Adventure Marine Park.
The family-oriented theme park was formally launched last week by Subic Bay Marine Exploratorium, Inc. (SBMEI) CEO Robert Gonzaga, SBMEI chief finance officer Stanley Loo, and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) chairman Wilma T. Eisma, who was guest of honor during the inauguration.
The new adventure facility features a three-storey Twisters Slide, Rainbow Falls at the Kidz Playground splash-andplay area, a swinging Viking ship, the Aqua Serein that simulates rain, and the River Bend artificial river where children and adult alike can float down around the park.
It also has Forest Grill, which serves snacks and a great variety of grilled food serve in native “bilao,” and a designated open-sea area for swimming and kayaking.
Gonzaga said the Adventure Beach Water Park is part of SBMEI’s expansion program that would further promote the Ocean Adventure complex, which includes the Camayan Beach Resort, as the premier educational theme park in the Subic Bay area.
“We want to dish out fun opportunities for family bonding that might as well be memorable and educational experiences for the children,” Gonzaga said.
“At the same time, we emphasize caring for the environment as our core value in the Adventure Park.”
The facility can easily take in 700 guests at one time, at admission rates of P528 for children seven years old and below, as well as for senior citizens; and P688 for adults.
Meanwhile, guests at Ocean and Adventure and Camayan Beach may enjoy a 30 percent discount and unlimited access at the water park.
Entrance rates have been made affordable so that more may enjoy the park facilities, management said.
The park has lifeguards stationed in all its facilities, and required all children 12 years old and below, as well as persons with medical conditions, to be supervised by an adult companion at all times.
