PENARANDA, Nueva Ecija – Former Gov. Tomas Joson III led the inauguration of the P36-million new municipal building in Barangay Sinasajan here over the weekend.

The building, financed through a loan from the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), should “ensure a better and more effective service to the people” of Penaranda,” Joson said.

“Lahat ng ama ng tahanan ay pinapangarap ang maganda at maayos na bahay para sa kanyang pamilya,” said Joson stressing the wisdom of the move by town officials, led by Mayor Crisanto Legaspi, in building a new town hall.

But Joson stressed that “efficient service to the people who visits the municipal hall everyday should always be on top of any consideration.”

Joson led the province as governor of Nueva Ecija for four terms.

On the other hand, Legaspi said the old building located at the Poblacion will be used as an extension campus of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and technology (NEUST), a state-run institution whose main campus is situated in Cabanatuan City.

“This is also in line with our thrust of providing quality education to our children while at the same time we provide a conducive atmosphere for both our government employees and the people we serve,” Legaspi said.
