CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA, May 06, 2025 – A new tourist attraction is keeping people abuzz with excitement in the City of San Fernando, the capital city of the province of Pampanga, as premier township developer and award-winning property giant Megaworld formally unveils the Capital Town Rainwater Park.

A picturesque two-hectare landscaped park featuring a variety of amenities, the Capital Town Rainwater Park has been engineered with design and functionality in mind. During the dry, summer season, it serves as a convergence point for residents and those visiting the 35.6-hectare Capital Town, bringing together several leisure and recreational offerings, such as landscaped gardens with colorful blooms, a man-made lagoon with water fountains, a mini football field, children’s playground, amphitheater, belvedere, and a viewing deck.

During the rainy season, meanwhile, the park collects rainwater and reuses it to water the lush foliage in the area and refill the water reservoir. In case of heavy rains, the Rainwater Park helps mitigate flooding within the surrounding areas by collecting rainwater before gradually releasing it to the nearby Santo Niño Creek.

“We are very happy to see Capital Town continue to draw people as a major tourist destination, not only in the City of San Fernando but throughout the province of Pampanga. As a new and unique attraction here in our township, this Rainwater Park fulfills a higher purpose beyond just being a facility that brings together the entire community. We are delighted to fulfill our part in helping promote tourism and making San Fernando a thriving and livable city for Kapampangans,” says Eugene Lozano, senior vice president for sales and marketing, Megaworld Pampanga.

A vibrant, community-friendly space, the Rainwater Park highlights Megaworld’s thrust to integrate sustainability as an important identity of its townships as it allows people to unwind, engage in recreational activities, and commune with nature.

The Rainwater Park is the latest development to be unveiled by Megaworld in its Capital Town township. Aside from the iconic Clock Tower, a sprawling Shophouse District, and the biggest McDonald’s Store, Capital Town is also home to residential condominium developments and the first of many Megaworld office buildings to rise in the township.

To date, Megaworld has launched more than 1,300 units from its four (4) residential condominium properties in Capital Town. These are the 15-story Chelsea Parkplace (214 units), which won the “Best Condo Development in Luzon” award at the Philippines Property Awards last year; the 16-story Bryant Parklane (463 units), which is set for turnover to owners this year; the 15-story Montrose Parkview (293 units), whose construction is currently in progress; and the 17-story Saint- Marcel Residences (361 units).

Also in the township is the 16-story Savoy Capital Town, Megaworld’s first-ever hotel development north of Metro Manila, which will offer 374 rooms. There’s also the four-story Pasudeco Tower, a LEED-registered Megaworld office development, which is now fully leased out and boasts almost 11,000 square meters of gross leasable space.
