CITY OF SAN FERNANDO
The city police forces scored points and got a moral boost with the new Pampanga Police Provincial Office director joining them in anti-crime operations, including Oplan Galugad.

After his courtesy call on Mayor Edwin EdSa” Santiago at the city hall, Col. Andres Ocampo Simbajon Jr. participated in police operations in Barangay Quebiawan led by city police chief Lt. Col. Paul Gamido.

In a post-operations report, Gamido said 22 individualsfrom a compound of informal settlers in the saidbarangay were apprehended and are now facing charges for various offenses including illegal drug use, illegal use of military uniforms, acts of lasciviousness, and violations of community quarantine protocols.

Impounded by the police in the operations were 10 undocumented motorcycles. Also seized from the suspects were five medium-sized and 21 small-sized heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.

Visibly elated over the result was Simbajon whose marching orders to the police upon his assumption of office last Sept. 30 was to intensify anti-crime operations even more during this pandemic.

“So far, sobrang manageable naman [peace and order situation] compared sa ibang lugar at masasabi nating peaceful pa rin ang sitwasyon dito. ‘Yun nga lang, hindi porke peaceful at manageable ang sitwasyon, ay magiging kampante rin tayo. Kaya ang kautusan natin, proactive pa rin and intelligence-driven pa rin ang operations natin,” he said.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of the CSFP Police station for proper disposition.
