New Nueva Ecija solon to visit all villages

CABANATUAN CITY – After heading this city of 89 barangays as mayor for 18 years and vice mayor for 6 years, newly installed Nueva Ecija Third District Rep. Julius Cesar Vergara vowed to visit each and every village within the district as people’s representative in his three year term.

The district which encompasses two cities such as this city and Palayan and five towns – the municipalities of Laur, Gabaldon, Bongabon, Gen. Mamerto Natividad and Santa Rosa has a total of 222 barangays.
“Hindi po ako sa munisipyo niyo pupunta, sa lahat po ng barangay ako po’y dadalaw,” Vergara told his constituents during his oath-taking ceremonies on Monday.
With his legislative works ahead, Vergara who was sworn in by Regional Trial Court Judge Trece Wenceslao said he would be able to visist three to four times a year.
He succeded his wife, former Rep. Ria Vergara who completed a full nine year term. He won against former governor Czarina Umali who also has served third district representative.
His daughter, Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara of this city is now on her third and final term.
Vergara believes that talking to the people on the ground is essential in delivering programs and services which is based on on human relations (pakikipagkapwa-tao).
He vowed to pursue in the House of Representatives measures that will uplift agriculture sector and price stability and infrastructure.
“Iisa lang naman ang aking adhikain, it is simply to serve, to serve them well and offer a new brand of service to the people,” he said.
“I have seen so many problems. I have seen what Ria (the former congresswoman) has done we should do a little bit more,” Vergara said.
