CLARK FREEPORT – The Capampangan in Media, Inc. (CAMI) held its induction of new officers for the year 2022-2023 at Bale Balita here on Wednesday, March 9.
CAMI, composed of Kapampangan members of the press, was organized and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in December 2004.
Clark Development Corp president Ret. PBGen. Manuel Gaerlan administered the oath taking ceremony of new CAMI officers led by its chairman Federico ‘Dik’ Pascual (The Philippine Star), vice chairman Mario Garcia (broadcaster and former SMC director), president Ashley Jay B. Manabat (Business Mirror), vice presidents Vitorio Vitug (Business Mirror) and Lincoln M. Baluyut (The Voice Newsweekly), treasurer Abelardo Cruz (ALC Productions), auditor Jose Cortez (Philippine Graphic Magazine), and Secretary Precy Cunanan (Clark Development Corporation).
Also inducted as board of trustees were Noel Tulabut (Pampanga News Now and SunStar Pampanga), Eric Jimenez (The Angeles Observer), Chris Navarro (SunStar Pampanga), Max Sangil (SunStar Pampanga), Liza Carreon, Nonnie Pelayo (Manila Standard) and Ner Dayrit while chairman emeritus is Crispulo Icban, Jr. (Manila Bulletin).
New CAMI president Ashley Manabat hopes to reinvigorate efforts to continue pursuing all CAMI projects such as media forums, book publications, medical assistance programs, and the annual CAMI Clark Golf Cup.
