TARLAC CITY — Lieutenant Colonel Jeszer Bautista assumed as the newest commander of Army 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion (3rd Mech).
He replaced Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Henry Cabusao who will be assigned in the Visayas Command.
In his acceptance speech, Bautista assured that he can effectively take charge of 3rd Mech.
“I was already overthinking until a month ago when I reported to this unit and started orienting myself to the tasks ahead, which slowly convinced me that I can do this and I can deliver,” he shared.
Bautista thanked the presence of different personalities from different levels of command, both in the military and civilian institutions, which convinced him that he has what it takes to take charge of this battalion.
“Your attendance in today’s ceremony is already an assurance to me and every Makatarungan personnel, that you will continue to extend your full support, and sustain our cooperation and collaborations in order to achieve our common aspirations for the Filipino nation. With finality, I can now say I can do this and I will deliver,” he stated.
Further, he promised he will be guided by the foremost objectives, that is accomplishing the mission first while maintaining the morale and well-being of his personnel.
“As I assume the command of the 3rd Mech rest assured that the power entrusted to me will be used for the betterment of the unit and [of] our organization, the Armor Pambato Division in particular, and the whole Armed Forces of the Philippines,” he underscored.
Bautista previously served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training, G8 Armor Division.
He is a member of Philippine Military Academy Masikhay Class of 1999. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
