NEPCI, SM bring smile to Dupinga Indigenous children

Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija – Over 60 indegenious children in this municipality received susprises of books and toys through Nueva Ecija Press Club Inc. (NEPCI) Alitaptap Project on Friday (January 28).

The project was supported by SM City Cabanatuan, SM Megacenter and The SM Store through SM Bears of Joy, Donate A Book and Share A Toy campaign gathered last year.

“Through this kind of projects we were able to see the smile of those kids and it is priceless and heart-warming” said Rommel Gutierrez, SM Assistant Mall Manager.

Launched in 2011, SM Bears of Joy is an annual Christmas charity project wherein mall holiday shoppers can purchase a pair of toy bears for just P250, one for taking home and the other to be donated to the chosen charitable organizations of participating malls. The bears were given to frontliners and children from orphanages, communities, and public schools all over the country.

Also, through the Share A Toy campaign under the SM Share Movement, The SM Store and its loyal customers join together to celebrate Christmas amid of the pandemic with a generous heart as a way of bringing smiles to children and sharing the happiness and hope to them. Other SM Store also campaigns like Donate a Book have received overwhelming support from customers.

“We would like to thank and congratulate Nueva Ecija Press Club Inc. for bringing us on their endeavor of making this children happy and as their partner in community service we will do our very best to support them the best way we can” said Gutierrez.
