Negosyo Center opens in Sta. Ana, Pampanga

The Department of Trade and Industry Pampanga Provincial office (DTI Pampanga), in partnership with the local government unit (LGU) of Sta. Ana, Pampanga and the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Development Council (MSMEDC), recently launched the newest Negosyo Center in the province in ceremonies held today at the Municipal Hall of Sta. Ana, Pampanga.

During the opening program, Mayor Norberto Gamboa welcomed the establishment of the center in his locality and assured the DTI of the full support of the LGU. He said that the Negosyo Center will certainly help improve business in the municipality as the services of the DTI will now be more accessible. Regional Director Leonila T. Baluyut of DTI Region 3 congratulated the LGU for having its own Negosyo Center located in the One-Stop Shop for Business Registration building of the municipal hall area. With the information that the Center has good internet connectivity, she said that this will enable the center to provide full services to its clients. She noted that the Go Negosyo Act or RA 10644 mandates the establishment of a Negosyo Center in each LGU in the country. 

Elenita Ordonio, Provincial Director of DTI Pampanga, explained the different services that will be provided by Negosyo Center Sta. Ana Pampanga. She said that the Negosyo Center is a one-stop shop for services that cater to entrepreneurs’ need in processing requirements to establish a business and in accessing information for their growth. Among its services are business registration assistance; business advisory services that include product development, trade promotion, financing facilitation, investment matching and MSME counseling; business information and advocacy and conduct of information campaigns through training, seminars, dialogues; and monitoring and evaluation. Lani Rada Pelayo, Human Resource Management Officer and the point person of the local government unit for the Negosyo Center, expressed her gratitude for the establishment of the center and informed the participants that the LGU will actively respond to the needs of the center and its assigned staff.

The DTI and LGU officials also presented the signed Memorandum of Agreement for the operation of the Negosyo Center. They also signed the Pledge of Commitment wall to support the center and the MSMEs in the locality.
