SANTA ROSA, Nueva Ecija – Some local government units in Nueva Ecija opted to retain the use of quarantine pass in the fight against the coronavirus disease even as general community quarantine took effect Monday.

In this municipality, the LGU announced that the public market will be operational only from 5 a.m. to 4p.m.

Residents can go to the market to buy foods and essential needs based on scheduled days.

Kailangan pa din po ang quarantine and market Pass,” the LGU stressed in its announcement concerning the GCQ which runs from June 1 to 15.

“Ang mga edad 20 pababa, 60 years old pataas, mga buntis, mga tao na may immunodeficiency, comorbidities o may health risks ay KAILANGAN PA DIN PONG NASA BAHAY lamang pwera lang po kung mayroon talagang matinding dahilan para sila ay lumabas,” it added as it sought the cooperation of residents.  

In San Jose City, Ordinance No. 20-018 enacted on May 28 paved the way for the operation of tricycles, jeepneys, and buses provided health protocols, wearing of face mask and observing social distancing, are strictly followed.

Quarantine passes which will be given at one per family shall be required when entering malls, the ordinance provides. 

It also mandated curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. which is two hours earlier than the 10 p.m. set by the national inter agency task force.
