GAPAN CITY – Mayor Emerson Pascual offered to finance from his own pocket apartment for all frontliners from other places who work in hospitals here and residents of this city who work in health facilities outside.
Pascual made his offer Monday as he lamented that all the four new confirmed Covid-19 cases here were three medical doctors and a nurse who were working in different hospitals.
He noted that two of the doctors were working in a hospital in Cabanatuan City while the other is in a private hospital here and the nurse in a health facility in Cabiao town.
“Yung lahat ng empleyado ng ospital na tagarito sa Gapan na nagta-trabaho sa ibang bayan ako na magbabayad ng apartment nila pati pagkain nila sagot ko sarili kong pera. Awa ng Diyos, ang ganda ng feedback, walang kumontra,,” Pascual told village officials in a meeting Monday night.
Employees in local hospitals who came from other places have also agreed with the arrangement, he said.
“Sila mismo ayaw nilang makahawa sila e. Proteksyon din yun sa pamilya,” he stressed.
He asked village chiefs to implement strict monitoring of people going in and out of the city, saying delivery of food and other essential products should go unhampered but not the people who may only be wandering.
