CABANATUAN CITY – Members of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office who were deployed in Mindanao areas during the May 2025 national and local elections were accorded heroes’ welcome at the provincial headquarters here on May 26.
NEPPO director Col. Ferdinand D. Germino said a ceremonial salute from the command group, staff and the men and women of NEPPO, was a fitting tribute as a “gesture of gratitude and respect” to the cops’ bravery and dedication to service.
A total of 25 police officers were deployed to the Municipality of Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte, where they served as area security forces amid a volatile and sensitive electoral atmosphere.
In his message, Germino expressed his deep appreciation for the troops’ commitment and valor during their deployment. “You were sent far from home, entrusted with the critical responsibility of safeguarding peace and order in one of the most sensitive and challenging electoral landscapes in the country.”
Despite the risks and distance, “you carried the NEPPO banner with honor, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to public service,” Germino said
As a token of recognition, the returning troops received commendations and cash incentives, personally handed by Germino “for their outstanding performance and selfless service during the crucial election duties.” Contributed photo
