CABANATUAN CITY – Mayor Adrianne Mae Cuevas of Palayan City was elected national officer of the ruling PDP-Laban in the party assembly led by Pres. Duterte at the Clark Freeport in Pampanga Saturday.
The election of the mayor of Nueva Ecija’s capital to “such an important position at the national level” elated the Nueva Ecija delegation that included 3rd District Rep. Rosanna Vergara, Gapan City Mayor Emerson Pascual, and Cabanatuan City Vice Mayor Julius Cesar Vergara.
Also in attendance at the convention which ousted Sen. Many Pacquiao as president and put in place Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi were Sen. Bong Go, House Speaker Lord Velasco and several cabinet secretaries led by Exec Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
In the same convention, the president promised to campaign for his party members in their own provinces, cities, and municipalities in the forthcoming 2022 election.
