CABANATUAN CITY – Maintenance personnel and equipment of the Nueva Ecija 2nd Engineering District (NEED 2) were deployed to conduct “temporary patching” in several sections of Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road in this city that have been subject of complaints among motorists.
“In line with this, please be informed that the Maintenance Section already conducted temporary patching in the dilapidated areas as inclement weather hinders proper rectification works,” said NEED 2 caretaker Engr. Eduardo de Guzman in his memorandum dated Aug. 10 to Department of Public Works and Highways-Central Luzon director Roseller Tolentino.
Proper repair, he said, will begin as soon as the weather condition improves.
De Guzman added the road was proposed for rehabilitation in 2022.
De Guzman’s memorandum was submitted to Tolentino thru regional public affairs and information officer Allan Mantaring in response to feedback about the road’s worse condition having deep huge potholes, particularly in the vicinity of barangays San Isidro-Lourdes, Bangad and Pangatian which have been published in social media platforms Facebook and YouTube.
The road leads to Nueva Ecija’s capital city of Palayan and municipalities of Bongabon, Gen. Mamerto Natividad, Laur, and Gabaldon as well as to Aurora province and it’s town of Dingalan.
De Guzman also provided Tolentino’s office photographs of the patching activity.
