Applicants must be accredited to be eligible for the competitive grants to assure the legitimacy of the individual or organization in implementing culture-related programs.

“For accreditation, applicants may submit their accreditation requirements together with their arts and culture project proposals on or before August 31, 2023,” Lingat furthered.

Municipal and city governments may partner with the provincial government through the Tarlac Tourism Office or other NGAs and SUCs for their proposed projects.

For his part, Tarlac Tourism Head Arsenio Lugay II expressed his gratitude to NCCA for bringing in the province of Tarlac various programs for culture and the arts.

“We thank the NCCA for extending to us the initiatives of the commission in strengthening our cultural heritage and identity as Tarlaqueños, and recognizing the talents of our artists in the province,” Lugay said.

The province will be hosting the Luzon Art Fair, a NCCA funded event, this October 2023. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
