CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda has led a Capitol team to the far reaches of Pampanga, navigating through swollen rivers, to ensure no one is left out of much needed assistance in the wake of the recent calamities.

On July 29 alone, Pineda delivered relief to 12,840 flood-affected residents in the towns of Masantol, Minalin, and Macabebe.

In Barangay Sapang Kawayan, Masantol, 1,126 residents received food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

In Macabebe, relief from the DSWD and Capitol reached 1,687 individuals in Barangay Consuelo, 1,610 in Barangay San Esteban, and 1,353 in Barangay Dalayap.

In Minalin, 5,938 residents were assisted: 1,358 in Barangay San Isidro, 1,636 in Lourdes, 1,423 in Sta. Maria, and 1,521 in Sto. Domingo.

“Kapag tayo’y nagkakaisa, kaya po natin—mas malakas pa tayo sa pinakamatinding baha,” enthused the vice governor.

The latest response of the Capitol to the impact of the southwest monsoon and the recent series of weather disturbances that prompted the declaration of a state of calamity manifested once more Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Delta’s hands-on, compassionate leadership. Pampanga PIO
