MABALACAT CITY – A tame-looking holdupper was arrested here Wednesday for robbing a woman, while in Mexico town, another man was nabbed for threatening to kill a married live-in partner amid their apparent complex relationships.
Jeffrey Comedia, 23, of Purok 3, Riverside Subdivision in Barangay Duquit here was arrested by the local police for allegedly holding up a woman who had an expensive Hermes bag that contained but P150 cash.
The Mabalacat police, led by its head Supt. Nick Torre, said that at about 8:30 p.m. last Wednesday, policemen readily responded to the call for help from Mary Joy Ibay Camus, 25, of 5079 Dose Junio St. in Filipiniana Subdivision in Barangay Dau here, after she was held up by Comedia.
Camus said she was walking towards home along Uno de Mayo St. in her barangay when Comedia suddenly appeared with his .38 Smith and Wesson pistol and announced a hold up.
He later ran off with Camus’s Hermes bag with three pieces of P50 bills, assorted ID cards, two company ID’s, her voter’s ID, Philippine Business Bank Card, RCBC Access card and one folded umbrella.
Meanwhile, Mexico police chief Supt. Ricardo Pangan reported the arrest of one Martin Perez, 47, a resident of Barangay San Antonio in the town and live-in partner of victim Ana May Nicomedez, 47, married, and resident of San Jose Matulid in the same town.
Perez was charged with illegal possession of firearms and grave threats after he reportedly confronted Nicomedez in the house of one Wilfrido Bondoc, 52, also married, in Barangay San Jose Matulid. Nicomedez was reportedly with her step child named Marvin Dela Cruz, 33, at that time.
The police did not give details on the relationships of the persons named in their report, except that Perez and Nicomedez were live-in partners who were married to other persons.
The reportsaid an apparently drunken Perez arrived on board a tricycle at the residence of Bondoc and threatened to kill his live-in partner and the others in the house. Alerted barangay security men sought the help of the police who later arrested Perez.
