CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – In only five days of strict implementation, nearly 6,000 individuals have been apprehended for various violations of quarantine protocols set by the regional inter-agency task force.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon reported that from March 22 to March 27, a total of 5,916 persons have been arrested. Of this, 2,819 for not wearing face shield in public places, 2,552 did not have face masks, 20 for not observing social distancing, and 152 for violating curfew and other protocols.
One hundred forty-seven were arrested for violation of Republic Act 11332, on “the mandatory reporting of reportable diseases,” and 53 for “disobedience to a person in authority.”
Warnings were issued to 3,520, fines were imposed on 1,633, 14 were given jail time, and 749 were released for regular filing of cases, police said.
